Rockville, Maryland – November 5, 2020 –Jennifer Sun, CEO of StarCompliance, has been named the winner of the Bronze Stevie® Award in the Female Executive of the Year category in the 17th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run– worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.
Jennifer joined StarCompliance two years ago after seeing through the successful acquisition of the financial data and analytics firm Ipreo—now a portfolio company of Blackstone and Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking—by IHS Markit in August 2018. Over Jennifer’s 17-year career at Ipreo she held several leadership roles across their Global Markets Group, where she built Ipreo’s equities business from the ground up to be the dominant provider in equity, new-issue workflow systems. At the time of Ipreo’s acquisition, she served as the Executive Vice President of Commercial Execution. Eager to join another organization with fast growth potential and a strong service offering, Jennifer joined StarCompliance in the Fall of 2018.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 180 business professionals around the world, working on seven juries.
