In his role as Senior Sales Executive at StarCompliance, Wayne Atherton spearheads client relations and engagement with potential customers across EMEA, APAC, and UAE. His primary objective is to expand the company's presence in these areas by promoting Star’s software products. Prior to joining Star in 2017, Wayne spent over 11 years at Bottomline Technologies where he transitioned through roles such as Enterprise Training Manager, Pre-sales Consultant, and ultimately took on the role of Risk and Compliance Product Owner/Developer, where he designed, developed and managed all aspects of an in-house sanctions screening tool for screening inbound and outbound SWFIT M.T. communications. Wayne graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a MSc in Computer Science in 2000 and has subsequently obtained International Compliance Association (ICA) qualification in Anit-Money Laundring and Financial Crime Prevention Beyond his professional life, Wayne instructs at a local martial arts academy, holding a Dan grade in Jujitsu and Karate, respectively.
